Conclusion on classification

Based on all data available, the substance does not need to be classified for environmental toxicity according to CLP Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.

The substance was tested to three trophic levels in marine-water organisms to assess acute toxicity and was non-toxic below the water solubility (<1mg/L). Therefore, the substance need not be classified for acute hazard or long-term hazard categories Chronic 1, 2, or 3. As the substance is a poorly water soluble substance for which no acute toxicity revealed at levels up to wter solubility, Chonic Category 4 has to be reviewed. The chronic toxicity was tested in two trophic levels, one marine-water organism (algae) and one fresh-water organism (invertebrate)

showing NOECs >1mg/L (water solubility) for both trophic levels. In addition, the substance is considered to be readily degradable but failing the 10 -day window. Therefore, no classification is warranted.
