Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 117 (Partition Coefficient (n-octanol / water), HPLC Method)
Deviations:
no
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.8 (Partition Coefficient)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes
Type of method:
HPLC method
Partition coefficient type:
octanol-water
Analytical method:
high-performance liquid chromatography
Key result
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
> 6.5
Temp.:
22 °C
Remarks on result:
other: neutral pH

Twenty five compounds were observed in the LC-MS
chromatograms of the test substance solution. With all test
substance related compounds it was found that its retention
time was higher than the retention time of 2,4-DDT with a
log Pow of 6.5.

Conclusions:
Twenty five test substance related compounds were observed. The log Pow value was > 6.5 for all test substance related compounds.

Description of key information

The partition coefficient was determined using the HPLC method and the study was performed according to OECD Guideline 117/EU method A.8 and GLP principles.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
6.5
at the temperature of:
22 °C

Additional information

Twenty five test substance related compounds were observed. The log Pow value was > 6.5 for all test substance related compounds.
