Executive summary:

An Ames bacterial mutation study has been conducted with silicon dioxide in strains TA98, TA100, TA1535, TA1537 and TA1538. Concentrations of 667, 1000, 3333, 6667 and 10000 µg/plate were used.

The test substance showed no evidence of mutagenicity.
