- Justification:
Ethanol, 2-amino-, reaction products with ammonia, by-products from (CAS-# 68910-05-4) is assessed to be not readily biodegradable taking into account data from the components of the product. Consequently, based on the available data on abiotic and biotic degradation, the product should be considered persistent (presumably “P”) and potentially very persistent (potentially “vP”), in absence of any other data as the screening-criteria for persistence are fulfilled. Based on measured or calculated log Pow values of the different components, Ethanol, 2-amino-, reaction products with ammonia, by-products from (CAS-# 68910-05-4) is not expected to accumulate in organisms and therefore does not fulfill B/vB-criteria. Ethanol, 2-amino-, reaction products with ammonia, by-products from (CAS-# 68910-05-4) is regarded as “T”, since one component (2 -(2 -Aminoethylamino)ethanol (CAS 111 -41 -1)) holds relevant classification: toxic for reproduction (cat 1B) according to the Regulation EC No 1272/2008 (T). In conclusion, 2-amino-, reaction products with ammonia, by-products from (CAS-# 68910-05-4) is not PBT/vPvB.
