Description of key information

The two calculated partition coefficients (in the range of -2.382 to -1.9761), the negative values indicate that the substance has a greater affinity for the water phase, and, hence, is more hydrophilic.

The partition coefficient of D-glucono-1,5 -lactone was calculated using the ACD/I-Lab service ACD/LogP v8.02 and the Estimation Programs Interface (EPI) SuiteTM United States Environmental Protection Agency MPBPVP Program (v1.43), both considered of Klimisch-2 reliability. The predicted values for log Kow of D-glucono-1,5-Lactone are -2.382 ± 0.484 at 25ºC (no information on pH was reported) and -1.9761 (no information on pH or temperature was reported), based on ACD and EPI Suite calculations, respectively.
