Additional information

During the Danish Risk assessment review a number of results for the octanol/water partition coefficient were considered.

According to US-EPA (1996) the log Kow was stated to be 2.78 but without specifying the test method. Hansch et al. (1995) found an experimental value of 2.63 and QSAR calculations carried out by Knowwin, Syracuse 1995; ClogP) estimated the log Kow to be 2.70 and 3.13.

The result reported as 'key' information in this dossier (BASF 1994) was determined according to guideline OECD 107 with the method specified. This data was considered to be the most reliable in the peer reviewed Danish Risk assessment.
