Additional information

For a substance being considered as "readily biodegradable", it can be assumed that it will be biodegraded within the STP process and as a consequence a transfer to the soil compartment is not expected. Additionally, due to its low log Kow (-1.15 @pH7, BASF AG, 1991) an accumulation of the substance in terrestrial organisms is not expected. Furthermore, the substance is neither classified according to 67/548/EEC and the regulation (EU) no. 286/2011, nor is it considered as a PBT/vPvB substance. Therefore, no further tests on terrestrial organisms are provided.  According to the REACH Guidance document R.10 (p. 39), the PNECsoil will be calculated using the equilibrium partitioning method (EPM).
