Results and discussion

Results:
The test item Carbamic acid, N-(3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl)-2-(ethyl-(4-nitroso-phenyl)amino) ethyl ester is not stable in water at pH 4 and pH 7.
The rate of hydrolysis of the test item is pH dependent. At pH4 an immediate hydrolysis takes place; after 30 min the test item cannot be detected anymore.
The hydrolysis at pH7 is significantly slower; after 96 h there are still about 20% of the originally dissolved material detectable.
The half-time value can roughly be app. to 40 h.
These invstigations were carried out at room temperature.

The test item Carbamic acid, N-(3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl)-2-(ethyl-(4-nitroso-phenyl)amino) ethyl ester is not stable in water at pH 4 and pH 7.
