A calculation based on the measured solubilities in water and octanol renders a logPow of >4.6 (Pow 637.3 g/L/16 mg/L) (Laus 2014).

As it was not possible to use the HPLC or the stirring method to assess the logPow of the test substance, a calculation based on solubilities in octanol and water was applied. In view of the uncertainties related to the determination of the water solubility as described under section 4.8 of IUCLID, the logPow of ZnDNNSA is calculated from its solubility in octanol (637.3 g/L) and the water solubility estimate based on the experimental value from DNNSA, leading to a logPow of > 6.5. This logPow value will be used in the risk assessment.
