Justification:

Potentially P

From the data presented on biodegradation (IUCLID section 5) it was concluded that the substance is potentially P.

Not B

The Partition Coefficient n-octanol/water of the substance was determined according to OECD 107 with the shake flask method and was found to be 2.64 at 23°C.

Not T

The T criterion in Annex XIII of REACH indicates, that a substance fulfils the T criterion if a NOEC obtained from a long-term toxicity test with aquatic organisms is below 0.01 mg/L. Furthermore, in Chapter R.11 of the Guidance a screening criterion is given. The T criterion is presumably fulfilled if EC50 or LC50 from short-term aquatic toxicity tests (with algae, daphnia or fish) is below 0.1 mg/L and definitely fulfilled if below 0.01 mg/L.

Since no EC50-values below 100mg/l were determined, it can be concluded that the substance is not toxic to aquatic organisms.

The substance is non toxic to mammalian and aquatic organisms. The substance is neither classified for environmental toxicity nor as germ cell mutagen (1A, 1B), carcinogen (1A, 1B), reproductive toxicant (1A, 1B, 2) or specific target organ toxicant after repeated exposure (Cat 1 or 2). It can be concluded that the substance has no toxic properties.

Likely routes of exposure:

The submission substance fulfills neither PBT nor vPvB-properties. Therefore no emission characterization is required.
