Additional information

The substance for registration exists as a liquid however it has a solid / liquid transition state. Substance is manufactured and supplied in solvent.

The liquid phase of the substance has a relative density of 1.02 sg with a surface tension of 64.4 mN/m. The substance pour point is < 20 deg C and when tested for boiling point the substance decomposed from approximately 135 deg C.

Water solubility was measured as 30 .8 - 39.5 mg/L as TOC and actual water solubility for the test material was based on carbon content of approximately 35% and was therefore estimated to be approximately 100 mg/L.

The substance octanol / water partition coefficient was measured showing seven peaks ranging between -0.21 to 3.57 log Pow. The mean CHARM weighted average log Pow was calculated to be 2.4.

The flashpoint was 74.7 deg C and auto ignition temperature was seen to be 448 deg C. Based on chemical structure of the test item it the explosive properties were predicated to be negative. Similarly based on the chemical structure the material was predicted to be none oxidising.

Due to the nature of the substance being a UVCB with tarry consistency certain tests were not possible including PSD and flammability on solids.
