Description of key information

The partition coefficient of the substance was determined to be 4.15 at 20 °C and pH7.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
4.15
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

Two GLP studies were conducted.

BASF GLP study determined the partition coefficient in accordance with the EU Method A.8 (partition coefficient) using the HPLC method to be 4.1 Pa at 20 °C and pH 4, 4.15 Pa at 20 °C and pH 7 and 4 Pa at 20 °C and pH 9.

International Specialty Products Inc. determined the partition coefficient in accordance with the EU Method A.8 (partition coefficient) using the shake-flask method to be approx. 3.27 at 22.3 °C (without adjustment of the pH value).

The value from the BASF GLP study was chosen as key value for the partition coefficient.
