Any other information on results incl. tables

Test with acetone at 20 °C:

Corrected surface tension = 24.03 mN/m

Known value = 23.70 mN/m

Percent error = + 1.4 %

Test with demineralised water at 20 °C

Corrected surface tension = 72.94 mN/m

Known value = 72.88 mN/m

Percent error = +0.1 %

The raw data are reported here after of time evolution of the surface tension for neat item at 20 °C.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Executive summary:

The surface tension of the test substance was determined under GLP according to EU A5 guideline, using Dunouy ring tensiometer method.

After calibration with water and acetone, 4 measurements were recorded on the neat item at 20 °C. Results were found stable overtime, so the average value was retained.

The surface tension of test substance was 29.1 mN/m at 20 °C.
