Additional information

Epoxised soybean oil was not found to be genotoxic in any of the tests performed. According to Directive 67/548/EEC, no classification is warranted. According to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008, no classification is warranted.



Short description of key information:
The genotoxic effects of the test substance were investigated in five in-vitro mutagenicity assays. Mutagenic effects on histidine-auxotrophic mutants of Salmonella typhimurium were investigated using methods similar to that of OECD test guideline 471. The chromosome damaging potential and effects on cultured human peripheral blood lymphocytes was investigated according to OECD test guideline 473. Mutagenic effects on the thymidine kinase locus in mouse lymphoma cells were investigated according to test guideline 476. The test substance was not found to be genotoxic in any of the tests performed.

Endpoint Conclusion: No adverse effect observed (negative)
