Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The registered substance is readily biodegradable, has a log octanol-water partition coefficient at 4.8 but the bioconcentration factor (BCF) was estimated using a QSAR at 334.6 L/kg whole body weight, therefore does not meet the criterion for persistence (P) and bioaccumulation (B).

For the T criterion, the aquatic invertebrate Daphnia magna is the most sensitive species in acute conditions with a 48h-EC50 at 5.3 mg/L. As this value is greater than 0.1 mg/L, the substance is presumably not T.

In conclusion, the substance could not be considered as a PBT or vPvB substance.
