Additional information

The study by Shell Research Ltd. (1997) was conducted to a standard guideline and was GLP compliant. The relative densityof 2,4,4-trimethylpentene at 20°C compared to the density of water at 4°C is 0.7166g/cm3. This result is supported by data from the CRC Handbook (Lide 2008), which gives a density of 0.715 gcm-3 at 25°C.
