Description of key information

The test substance was biodegraded 109% in 28 days, and met the 10 -day window criterion.  OECD Guideline 301B study.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

The ready biodegradation of Benzenesulfonic acid, C10-13-(linear) alkyl derivs., calcium salt, was determined according to an OECD Guideline 301B study. A concentration of 16 mg/L of test substance was inoculated with activated sludge. Sodium benzoate was used as a reference substance. The oxygen consumption was then monitored for 28 days. The test substance was biodegraded 109% in 28 days, and met the 10 -day window criterion. GLP guideline study.
