Following the dry sieve analysis of the test item sodium cyanate, a range of approx. 500 to 125 µm covers 80 % of the particle size distribution. The range of 80% particle size could not be determined exactly, as even the sieve with the largest mesh size showed a residue > 10%. For the assessment of the test item’s hazard properties, this is considered as not critical.

No particles with a diameter below 10 µm were found.

No observations were made which have cause doubts concerning the validity of the study outcome.

Conclusions:
A range of approx. 500 to 125 µm covers 80 % of the particle size distribution
Executive summary:

Following the dry sieve analysis of the test item sodium cyanate, a range of approx. 500 to 125 µm covers 80 % of the particle size distribution. The range of 80% particle size could not be determined exactly, as even the sieve with the largest mesh size showed a residue > 10%. For the assessment of the test item’s hazard properties, this is considered as not critical.

No particles with a diameter below 10 µm were found.

No observations were made which have cause doubts concerning the validity of the study outcome.

Description of key information
