Description of key information

Tantalum is grey metal with a melting point of 3017 °C and a boiling point of 5458 °C at atmospheric pressure. The density of the solid is 15.467 g/cm³ at 25 °C. The substance has a very low water solubility of 21.3 µg/l at 20 °C. Additionally, the substance was classified as flammable.

The D50 value (particle size distribution) is 27.93 µm and surface activity is not a desired property of the material.

The molecule contains no chemical groups which are associated with explosive properties.
