Description of key information

Vapour pressure (substance): 44.3 Pa at 20°C
Vapour pressure (silanol hydrolysis product): 0.00005 Pa at 20°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
44.3 Pa
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

A vapour pressure of 44.3 Pa at 20°C was extrapolated using a temperature-vapour pressure correlation developed from data measured in the range -40 to 415°C (DIPPR 2001). Several secondary sources, to which a reliability could not be assigned, report vapour pressure values of 181.3 to 2670 Pa over a range of temperatures from 40 to 152.5°C. The vapour pressure of the silanol hydrolysis product has been predicted to be 0.00005 Pa at 20 °C, using a validated QSAR prediction method. The result is considered to be reliable.
