Description of key information

Autoflammability data were not available for any of the streams within this Category. However as the category consists of mainly C4 hydrocarbons, data were read across from hydrocarbon C4 substances (CAS numbers 107-01-7: 324°C to 345°C, 115-11-7: 465°C, 106-98-9: 385°C, 25167-67-3: 324°C to 465°C). All information came from a peer reviewed handbook (CRC, 2008). The autoflammability range for this Category was 324-465°C.

The mean of the autoflammability values for the category is 385°C at 101,325 Pa and this has been used to complete the 'key value for chemical safety assessment'.
