Description of key information

>10 mm2/s at 40°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Distillate aromatic extracts have a relatively high, but variable viscosity. Kinematic viscosity was measured to be >10 mm2/s at 40°C and ranged from 3.8 to 124 mm2/s at 100°C (CONCAWE, 2010a). Viscosity was determined using the ISO 3104 test method.

Additionally, the viscosity range was determined to be 5 to 18000 mm2/s at 40°C and 3 to 60 mm2/s at 100°C (CONCAWE, 1992a). Viscosity was determined using the ASTM D 445 test method.
