Additional information

A:10: The test item is not a highly flammable solid in the senseofthe consolidated version of Council Directive 67/548/EEC Annex V, Method A.10 (Council Directive 92/69/EEC).

A.11: A test according to A.11 (flammability; gases) is not considered to be required, since the substance BIO1031/1 is a solid substance with area of melting temperature of 105 - 107°C which decomposes under boiling, and therefore not a gas at room temperature.

A.12: A test according to A.12 (flammability; contact with water) is not considered to be required, because BIO1031/1 does not contain groups that might lead to a reaction with water or damp air, leading to the development of dangerous amounts of gas or gases which may be highly flammable. Furthermore, experience in practical handling of the substance shows that it does not react with water.

A.13: A test according to A.13 (pyrophoric properties of solids and liquids) is not considered to be required, since the substance BIO1031/1 is stable at ambient temperature. The substance does not contain any chemical group that might lead to spontaneous ignition a short time after coming in contact with air at room temperature (approx 20°C). Furthermore, experience in handling shows that the substance does not ignite in contact with air.For the reason given above, no classification and labelling of the substance is necessary.
