Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A 96-hour LL50 value of >100 mg/l, tested as filtered Water Accommodated Fractions (WAFs), has been reported for the effects of the registered substance on the mortality of the freshwater fish G. rarus. The substance has a high volatilisation potential (Henry’s Law Constant = 1.61E+07 Pa m3mol-1at 12°C) and the substance is present at concentrations below the limit of detection of the analytical method. No measures were taken to prevent the test material from evaporating from solution during test media preparation and during exposure. Therefore, while the results could be interpreted to indicate that no effects at the limit of solubility have been recorded with the substance, it is not possible to determine that the organisms were exposed to the test material during the exposure period and the study has been assigned reliability 4.

A 96-hour LC50 value of >6.3 μg/L and NOEC of ≥6.3 μg/L have been determined for the effects of the closely related substance L4 (CAS 141-62-8) on mortality of Oncorhynchus mykiss based on mean measured exposure concentrations.
