Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
Additional information
A short-term toxicity to fish study is available with the registered substance indicating that no effects are recorded when dosed at a loading rate of 100 mg/l as Water Accommodated Fractions (WAFs) to Gobiocypris rarus. No measures were taken to prevent the test material from evaporating from solution during test media preparation and during exposure. Therefore, it is not possible to determine that the organisms were exposed to the test material. No other data are available with the registered substance, however reliable data are available with the closely related substance L4 (CAS 141-62-8) describing the toxicity to freshwater fish, invertebrates and algae. Short-term and long-term aquatic toxicity studies are available with the L4 and freshwater fish. A 96-hour LC50 value of >6.3 μg/L (based on mortality) and 60-day post-hatch NOEC of ≥7.9 μg/L (based on hatching, larval survival, abnormal appearance and behaviour) have been determined for the effects of L4 on Oncorhynchus mykiss based on measured exposure concentrations.
A long-term invertebrate study is also available for L4 reporting a 21-day NOEC value of ≥4.9 μg/L based on adult mortality, reproduction and growth of Daphnia magna under flow-through conditions and expressed relative to mean measured concentrations. A data waiver is applicable to the short-term toxicity to invertebrates endpoint since long-term data are available.
A 72-hour EC50 value of >2.2 μg/L and NOEC of ≥2.2 μg/L have been determined for the effects of L4 on growth rate and yield of the freshwater algae Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata. The results are expressed as geometric mean measured concentrations.
