Additional information

One experimental study is available investigating the ready biodegradability of fatty acids, vegetable-oil, esters with dipropylene glycol (CAS 95009-41-9). The study was performed according to OECD 301B (GLP) with domestic activated sludge as inoculum (Muckle, 2014). A test substance concentration of 29 mg/L (mean) was tested for biodegradation. After 28 d the test substance was degraded to 84.1% (CO2 evolution) and the 10-day window was met. Thus, fatty acids, vegetable-oil, esters with dipropylene glycol is readily biodegradable based on the OECD criteria. Moreover, a toxicity control including both, test substance and reference substance, showed a degradation of 74.7% after 14 d indicating that the test item is not inhibitory to activated sludge microorganisms.
