Description of key information

log Koc: 3.91 - 4.95 (MCI) and 4.50 - 5.59 (based on log Kow; KOCWIN v2.00)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No experimental studies investigating the adsorption/desorption potential of fatty acids, vegetable-oil, esters with dipropylene glycol (CAS 95009-41-9) are available. As the substance is composed of different homologues, the log Koc values were calculated for representative components using KOCWIN v2.00 based on the Molecular Connectivity Index (MCI) and the estimation based on the log Kow (Müller, 2014). The results indicate that the substance has a high potential for adsorption to soil and sediment particles with log Koc values of 3.91 - 4.95 (MCI method) and 4.50 - 5.59 (based on log Kow).
