Additional information

Key study: experimental results: Test method according to German 'Biologische Bundesanstalt' (BBA). LC50 was greater than 1000 mg/L for Salmo gairdneri.

This result is supported by further experimental data on other species from different independent sources. There is a result from a study conducted according to the guideline OECD 203 which do not support these results. However, there is no evidence that test substance concentration had been maintained throughout the test period. Furthermore, the vehicle used in this study was dimethylformamide. The LC50 at 96-hour for sodium trichloroacetate was of 45,90 mg/L.
