Description of key information

Long-term toxicity to fish: Weight of evidence: NOEC lower than 7 ppm (63 days) for Cyprinus carpio. Other experimental data are reported from a different independent source where the LC0 (30 days) was 7370 mg/L for Cyprinus sp.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Weight of evidence: experimental results: NOEC lower than 7 ppm (63 days) for Cyprinus carpio; basis for effect: weight. The 7 ppm group had 10% weight loss, compared with control fish. A pronounced dark coloring of the skin was detectable for the treated group. There was atony of the melanophores, increased mucous discharge and cellular necroses. The musculature was atrophied and showed hyaline degeneration.

Other experimental data are reported from a different independent source where the LC0 (30 days) was 7370 mg/L for Cyprinus sp.
