First-aid measures
Seek medical advice if feeling unwell. Ensure that the First Aid Personnel are aware of the product involved, and take precautions to protect themselves (e.g. wear personal protection equipment). Remove affected person from danger area, lay him down. Keep warm, calm and covered up.
After contact to hot product melt cool immediately with plenty of water. Do not remove the solidified melt from skin. Call emergency physician immediately.
In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with polyethylene glycol 400, then with plenty of water.
In case of contact with the eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water or with an eye-cleaning solution.
When swallowed seek medical aid immediately and show the physician the material safety data sheet and/or the lable.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: alcohol-resistant foam, dry powder, water spray jet, Carbon dioxide (CO2)
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Full water jet
In case of fires, hazardous combustion gases are formed: Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon dioxide (CO2), Nitrous gases (NOx), Hydrogen chloride (HCl) and dense, sooty smoke. Under certain conditions of combustion traces of other toxic substances cannot be excluded.
Do not inhale explosion and/or combustion gases. Use self-contained breathing apparatus.
Fire residues and contaminated firefighting water must be disposed of in accordance with the local regulations.
Accidental release measures
Use personal protective clothing. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Remove persons to safety. Cordon off the scene of an accident.
Do not allow entry to drains, water courses or soil. Contain contaminated water/firefighting water. Allow hot melt to cool down before taking up. Contain spillage, pick up manually, eg. in case of powder with an electrically protected vacuum cleaner or by wet-brushing and transfer to a container for disposal according to local regulations.
Handling and storage
During its lifecycle the substance is handled under strictly controlled conditions and is rigorously contained in accordance Art. 18.
Based on the knowledge of the basic hazards to humans and environment technical, organizational and PPE measures are taken to minimize release and exposure of this substance. National regulatory requirements for the handling of chemicals are also fulfilled. Employees are regularly trained. The efficiency of these measures is controlled e.g. by workplace measurements. In case of deviations these measures are adapted.
Provide good ventilation of working area (local exhaust ventilation if necessary). Avoid the formation and deposition of dust. Provide exhaust ventilation if dust is formed. In principle, with organic products which are -intentionally or unintentionally- in powdered form, the danger of a dust explosion should be kept in mind. Take precautionary measures against electrostatic charges - earthing necessary during loading operations. Keep container tightly closed in a well-ventilated place. Do not store or transport together with foodstuffs.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Do not inhale dust or fumes. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Use respiratory protection in case of insufficient exhaust ventilation or prolonged exposure.
Respiratory protection: Dust mask against exposure to dust or full mask AEBK against fumes.
Hand protection: Glove thickness: 0,5 mm. for long-term exposure: Butyl rubber gloves.
Take note of the information given by the producer concerning permeability and break through times, and of special workplace conditions (mechanical strain, duration of contact).
In case of handling the hot melt of the substance use heat resistant gloves.
Eye protection: tightly fitting safety glasses or face shield
Skin and body protection: Choose body protection in relation to its type, to the concentration and amount of dangerous substances, and to the specific work-place.
Suitable: Protective clothing Category 3, type 6 - Limited splash-tight
Hygiene measures: Do not eat, drink or smoke during work time.
Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately and clean thoroughly before using again. Garments that cannot be cleaned must be destroyed (burnt). Keep away from foodstuffs and beverages. Clean hands and face during work intervals and after work. Avoid contact of the substance.
Stability and reactivity
No dangerous reaction known under conditions of normal use. No decomposition, if stored and applied as directed.
Disposal considerations
Substance: Special waste incineration plant, after consultation with operators. Observe local authority regulations.
Contaminated packaging: Packaging that cannot be cleaned should be disposed of as product waste. For disposal local regulation is binding.
