Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No acute daphnia study data are available. The acute toxicity to daphnia was predicted using the Petrotox model and the LL50 was estimated at > 1000 mg/L.

In a 'read across' acute daphnia study with hydrodesulphurised kerosine. The EL50 was determined to be in the range 40-89 mg/l based on immobilisation

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A sample of hydrodesulphurised kerosine was tested in a static 48 -hour acute daphnid (Daphnia magna) test (OECD 202; KS = 1).

The EL50 was in the range 40 - 89 mg/L The No Observed Effect Loading (NOEL) rate was 40 mg/L determined by immobilisation.
