Measurements at 20.0 °C

The table below provides the results of the two measurements of the dynamic viscosity. Assay 1 is performed by increasing the rotation speed and Assay 2 by decreasing the rotation speed.

Viscosity is calculated with consistent results of Assay 1 and 2, in this case with data at rotation speed higher than 76 rpm. The viscosity data retained to determine the mean viscosity must provide standard deviation lower than 10% of the measured value viscosity, considering that in this shear rate range data are generally more reliable at higher shear rate than at low shear rate as adhesion forces of the test item on the device wall is more easely overcome at high shear rate.

The test item was considered to have newtonian properties in the experimental conditions used.

Measurements at 40.0 °C

The test item was too volatile and evaporated in the viscometer cell before the stabilisation of the temperature.

Executive summary:

The dynamic viscosity of the test substance was measured according to OECD 114 / ISO 3219 standard, using a rotational viscometer.

At 20°C, measurements were recorded between 64 and 100 rpm, with both increasing and decreasing shear rate. Results were considered constant, so the average value of 1.35 mm2/s is retained.

At 40°C, no measurement could be performed, due to volatilisation of the test susbstance.
