Additional information
No study testing the toxicity of the substance to microorganisms is available. However, the toxicity control set up in the frame of the ready biodegradability study, provides reliable data in order to cover this endpoint. The test was conducted according to the EU Method C.4-E and GLP. Domestic, non-adapted sewage sludge was used as the inoculum in a static, aerobic, freshwater test system. The toxicity control contained 3 mg/L test item and 2.9 mg/L reference substance (acetic acid, sodium salt). 39% degradation occurred after 14 and 28 d resulting in a NOEC (28 d) ≥ 3 mg/L (nominal).
