The test substance is not considered to be highly flammable, does not evolve flammable gases, and is not considered to be pyrophoric.
The substance is not a self-reactive substance or mixture.

In GLP compliant studies, performed according to EU method A.10, A. 12 and A. 13 the flammability of the test substance was determined

(Shell Research and Technology Centre, 2007). According to the EU method A10, the test substance is not considered to be highly flammable. According to the EU method A12, the test substance does not evolve flammable gases, and according to the EU method A13, the test substance is not considered to be pyrophoric.

The substance or mixture does not to be classified as self-heating as it contains is cations in a stable oxidation state and is intrinsically not combustible and can safely be assumed not to be self-ignitable and capable of self-heating under the conditions given in UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria, Test N.4.

The substance or mixture does not to be classified as self-reactive as there are no chemical groups present in the molecule associated with explosive or self reactive properties.

The substance or mixture does not to be classified as an organic peroxide as by definition based on their chemical structure the substance is no organic peroxide.

Justification for classification or non-classification

As the test substance is not flammable, classification is not needed according to the Directive 67/584/EEC and according to the EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
