Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The environmental fate and behaviour of the registered substance was determined via endpoint testing of biodegradation. This was determined according to the OECD guideline 301B. The test substance was found to be not readily biodegradable with 24 % degradation after 60 days. This assay was carried out using activated sludge obtained from a sewage plant and the test substance was not found to be inherently toxic to the organisms involved. Under the test conditions, the substance was found to be not readily biodegradable after 28 days showing an average of 10 % degradation from 2 replicates. The study was extended to 60 days and upon analysis at termination showed and average of 24 % degradation. However, difficulties encountered in estimating the biodegradation of poorly water-soluble substances are often linked to their limited bioavailability to competent degraders. This could lead to an underestimation of the biodegradation potential of the registered substance. In the absence of additional information on persistence it was decided that a conclusion could not be reached based on available information.
