Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

NOEC for daphnia exposed to the substance is 1.8 mg/l as mean measured test substance concentration corresponding to a nominal value of 3.2 mg/l. LOEC for daphnia exposed to the substance is 5.9 mg/l as mean measured test substance concentration corresponding to a nominal value of 10.0 mg/l. Test duration is 22 days.

Additional information

According to OECD 202 Part II (daphnia sp., acute immobilisation test and reproduction test).

Measured concentrations range between 37 and 101.7 % of nominal values in freshly prepared solutions and between 31.9 and 60.3 % of nominal values at the end of the renewal period of 48 and 72 hours. These low measured values are due to a sedimentation of the suspended test substance and to the adsorption of the substance on food particles. Toxic effect due to food uptake by daphnia cannot be divided from total toxic response. Therefore, toxicity of the substance in terms of survival rates and reproduction is expressed by means of measured concentration of test substance (NOEC and LOEC).
