Justification for classification or non-classification

As reported in the CLP Regulation (EC 1272/2008), an explosive substance is a solid substance which is in itself capable by chemical reaction of producing gas at such a temperature and pressure and at such a speed as to cause damage to the surroundings.

Test substance was evaluated as for the thermal sensitivity and the mechanical sensitivity (with respect to shock and friction). Test results are negative, since no explosion occurred. On these bases, the substance is not classified.
