Additional information

In the GLP Klimisch 1 study from Aniol (2012) the acute toxicity of Depanol I to Daphnia magna was determined in a static test under GLP. The test was performed according to OECD 202. The test was started with a control and nominal concentrations of 1, 2.5, 5, 10 and 25 mg/L loading rate. The concentrations were analyzed by GC-MS analyses. The concentrations were stable throughout the exposure period. For each test concentration and the control, 4 replicates with 5 daphinds each were set up in 50 mL glass vessels with stoppers and filled with 50 mL test solution to prevent evaporation of the test item. The test was performed in 16:8 hours light : dark cycle. After 48 hours of exposure, 5, 0, 35, 70, 100 and 100 % of the daphnids were immobilized at nominal 0 (control), 1, 2.5, 5, 10, and 25 mg test item/L.The corresponding 48 h EL50 value is 3.4 mg/L, the EC50 is 0.48 mg/L.

This study is considered to be acceptable for the risk assessment.
