Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Koc was estimated using the KOCWIN™ v2.00 module of EPI Suite™ v.3.20. Log Koc estimation is 3.91 which corresponds to 8038 L/kg.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:

Additional information

The value of 3.91 is the worst case value as obtained from the four major constitutents of the substance, in terms of adsoprtion. It is based on the log Kow method, as the variability of these values is large. Hence this method is considered to better represent the adsorption behaviour of the substance than the values obtained with the MCI method (3.05). The Koc value of the substance indicates, that the substance adsorbs strongly to soils and sediments. Since however the substance is readily biodegradable, contamination of environmental compartments like surface waters, sediment, soil and groundwater via horizontal and vertical transport is not expected. Hence, the issue of transport and distribution in these compartments of the environment is of no concern.
