Description of key information

A study according to guideline ASTM D93/07 using the closed cup method (Pensky-Martens closed cup apparatus (serial no. 1446) was conducted to determine the flash point of Vanadium concentrate (CAS 84144-87-6).
The following results were recorded:
Atmospheric pressure: 102.3 kPa
Ignition temperature at atmospheric pressure: > 200 °C
Flash point (corrected for 102.3 kPa): > 200 °C
With increasing temperature of the cup, the temperature in the bulk of the sample does not increase over 200°C; due to the very low conductivity of the material, it can be considered practically inert.
