The substance is involatile and (are demonstrated to) undergo thermal decomposition. The requirement to test the substance for pyrophoricity and flammability in contact with water was waived in accordance with Section 1 of REACH Annex IX, because there is no indication on the basis of structure and experience in use and handling that the substance is pyrophoric (flammable in contact with air) or flammable in contact with water.
The substance was determined to be non-combustible based on a preliminary result using UN Test method N.1 and in compliance with GLP.
Justification for classification or non-classification
The substance is not classified for flammability as no ignition was observed during the study conducted in accordance with UN Method N.1. Also, the substance should not be classified as a readily combustible solid of UN Class 4, Division 4.1.
