Additional information

In the key study, Baldwin (2002), observations of the test material were made prior to the initiation of a GLP compliant ready biodegradability study performed in accordance with the standardised guideline OECD 301 B.

The appearance and physical state of the test material were not the focus of the current study; however the description of the test material by the study author is sufficient to address the endpoint. The description reported in the study is considered to be an accurate reflection of the physical state of the test material. On this basis, the study was assigned a reliability score of 2, in accordance with the principles for assessing data quality, as outlined in Klimisch et al (1997).

Under the conditions of the study, the test material was described as a clear liquid.
