Results and discussion

Preliminary study:
In the blank buffer solution a small peak at the test substance position was detected. The contribution of this peak to the samples taken at t=120 hours was less than 0.07% and was therefore considered negligible.

At pH 4, pH 7 and pH 9, a decrease in concentration> 10% was observed after 5 days. This was probably due to the volatility of the test substance, i.e. partial evaporation into a very small volume of headspace. Therefore additional samples were taken after 14 days of incubation. The decrease in concentration between 5 and 14 days of incubation was < 10%. Therefore it was concluded that the half-life time at 25'C is > 1 year.
