The standard boiling temperature is defined as the temperature at which the vapour pressure of a liquid is the same as the standard pressure (101.325kPa). The boiling temperature of a pure substance is evaluated from a DSC-curve as the extrapolated onset temperature of the endothermic evaporation peak - i.e. as the cross point of the extrapolated base line and the linear part of the rising section of the evaporation peak.

DSC-curves formed from the experimental data showed large endothermic effects, probably caused by evaporation of the test substance, between 50°C and 80°C for experiment 1 and 47°C and 80°C for experiment 2. The extrapolated onset temperature of both evaporation peaks (a.k.a the boiling point) was determined to be 56°C.

Conclusions:
The boiling temperature of 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl-2,2,2-trifluoroethyl ether was determined to be 56°C (329K)
Executive summary:

An experiment was carried out to determine the boiling point of 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl-2,2,2-trifluoroethyl ether. 15.00mg and 13.42mg of the test substance was heated from 25°C to 125°C at a rate of 20°C/minute. The boiling temperature of the substance was then evaluated by a DSC-curve formed from the experimental data. From the extrapolated DSC-curve, the boiling temperature of 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl-2,2,2-trifluoroethyl ether was determined as 56°C.
