Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No studies investigating the adsorption/desorption behaviour of Fatty acids, C18-unsatd., dimers, di-Me esters, hydrogenated (CAS 147853-32-5) are available. Therefore, the Koc value of the main component was calculated with EPISUITE (KOCWIN v2.00). A log Koc value of 7.75 was calculated based on the molecular connectivity index (MCI). Using the log Kow based method, a log Koc value of 8.45 was obtained. These models have no universally accepted definition of model domain, but since the substance is outside the log Kow range of the training set, the results should be taken with caution. The definite values may not be fully reliable, but indicate a high adsorption potential, which is also to be expected based on the high log Kow (measured: > 6.5, estimated: 15.1) and low water solubility (< 0.1 mg/L). Therefore, it is concluded that Fatty acids, C18-unsatd., dimers, di-Me esters, hydrogenated (CAS 147853-32-5) is expected to have a high adsorption potential, and no additional tests on adsorption/desorption are needed.
