Additional information

The acute toxicity of 3 -[(2 -hydroxyethyl)amino]propanol (CAS 19344 -29 -7) to fish was tested in a GLP-guideline study according to OECD 203 with Zebrafish (Danio rerio) as test organism. The 96 -h LC50 was determined to be > 21.5 - < 46.4 mg/L (nominal, analytically verified; not-neutralized test solution; BASF AG (1998); 17F0057/965014). After neutralization of the test solution a significant reduction of effects was observed: At 464 mg/L (nominal; pH neutralized) one out of ten fish was dead at the end of the exposure period (96 h), while at 464 mg/L (nominal; not-pH neutralized) seven out of 10 fish were dead.
