Description of key information

The melting point of the substance is 262°C, at atmospheric temperature and pressure, based on the Annex V, 92/69/EEC, A1 test guideline.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
262 °C

Additional information

A GLP melting point/freezing point test employing differential scanning calorimetry (Safepharm Laboratories Ltd., 1998), according to the Annex V A1 92/69/EEC test guideline, determined the melting point to be 262 °C under normal atmospheric pressure. The substance decomposed at 262 °C without boiling. The melting point determination is supported by an earlier GLP test (Pharmakon Europe, 1998) according to the Annex V A1 84/449/EEC test guideline, which measured the melting point range as > 261 -<265°C.
