Memo:

Determination of bronopol in effluent water from the finnish papermill

RS-Freetext:

The analysis of the bronopol spiked samples revealed that the bronopol detection limit for the white water tower and the sedimentation tank respectively was about 3 to 5 ppb and around 2.5 ppb. For the white water tower sample, enrichment resulted in a limit detection of ca. 2 ppb for the unspiked sample versus 3 - 5 ppb for the spiked sample (see above); recovery was about 65%. For the sedimentation tank water and taking the data referring to the spiked sample into consideration, calculation resulted in a mathematical bronopol concentration of 1 ppb for the unspiked sample.
