Description of key information
The test item has no self-ignition temperature according to Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 up to the melting point of 370 °C.

A study was conducted according to Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 method A.16 to determine the self-ignition ability of the test item. In the Grewer-oven test the substance indicated an endothermic effect (melting) starting at 370 °C. Do to the phase transition of the substance up to the maximum temperature of 400 °C no self-ignition temperature could be determined. The empty basket after the test indicates that the sample flowed out of the basket during the test. The test was repeated using Kieselghur to hold the substance in the basket. The product in mixture with Kieselguhr (50 % w/w) indicates a self ignition starting from 390 °C.
