Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Aquatic toxicity testing by read-across from an analogue substance included short-term toxicity testing in a freshwater fish (golden orfe, Leuciscus idus) and a freshwater aquatic invertebrate (water flea, Daphnia magna), and a growth inhibition assay on a freshwater alga (Desmodesmus subspicatus, formerly called Scenedesmus subspicata). The most sensitive aquatic trophic level may be fish, with a reported 96-h EC50 of > 10 mg/L; a 48-h EL50 in aquatic invertebrates was reported as 36.3 mg/L and the 72-h ErL50 in algae was reported as 85.1 mg/L. In addition, a read-across substance was tested for cell multiplication inhibition test on the bacterium Pseudomonas putida, from which a 16-h NOEC of ≥ 8 mg/L was reported. Long-term testing in fish and invertebrates was not conducted; the substance undergoes rapid hydrolysis, is soluble in water and has been shown to be rapidly degraded in the environment. The results of the chemical safety assessment showed that the risk characterization ratios for surface water are all below one. Therefore, long-term aquatic toxicity testing was not indicated.
